Well, it's time to get going on the week 2 picks. What a miserable week this is for college football? I believe there isn't a single matchup between ranked teams this week. The best game might be Florida kicking Miami all over the field... or the Penn State/Oregon State game, which could get interesting with 3-4 Penn State players (starters, IIRC)... more »

The polls are beginning to reflect McCain's post-convention bounce. While not reflecting the bounce, the latest CBS poll, which I cited yesterday, is quite remarkable. The CBS poll is a weekly poll, last conducted 9/1 to 9/3, before the speeches by Palin and McCain. In one week, this poll went from Obama +8 to dead even. This is very bad... more »
